We’d love to share a little with you about our ministry to international students at Indiana University.

More than one million students have travelled from around the world to study in the United States. The majority of these come from countries in the 10/40 window - an area of the world with the very limited access to the Gospel. 

One might expect that these students, having now arrived in a place with many Christians and churches, would hear the Good News of Jesus easily but unfortunately that is not the case. It is estimated that roughly 75% of international students never visit a church or enter an American home during their time studying in the US! 

We are privileged to serve with Bridges International to go to the campus at Indiana University to meet international students and to share the love of God with them through word and deed, so that they are able make an informed decision for Christ. 

Our vision is that those who follow Christ would grow to maturity in faith and learn to share Christ with others, so that when graduate and return to their home country they are well equipped to continue making disciples of Jesus, as they live in obedience to the Great Commission (Matt 28:18-20).

A little about us:

As a couple we have lived in Australia (Ben’s home country), we spent 9 years living in muslim majority nations, and recently moved to the US (Leslie’s home country). These have been enriching experiences for us and give us insight into some of the challenges (and joys) that international students experience as they navigate life in a foreign country. We were blessed to have people (both locals and foreigners) come alongside us and we are thankful to be able to serve these international students in the same way.
